This year’s symposium will examine one of the most pressing issues in animal law today – how can we best protect wild animals when human activity increasingly runs counter to the interests of wildlife? Sessions will examine the government’s current approach to wildlife management, approaches to alleviating the problems caused by captivity, consideration of a more science-based and compassionate paradigm for wildlife protection and connecting the dots between the way we eat, climate change, and the planet we share with wildlife. The symposium is geared toward legal professionals, law students and any individual with an interest in improving life for non-human animals in our society.
