As part of Live Talks Los Angeles, David Spade discusses his new memoir, Almost Interesting, which, he writes, might’ve been called “Punchlines and Pussy,” among other titles he suggested to his publisher. It’s “200 pages of my blood, sweat, and jizz.” Using his trademark sarcasm that made him part of the early ‘90s Saturday Night Live trinity with Adam Sandler and Chris Farley, the comedian and actor remembers his pre-fame life: His dad bailing, growing up in Arizona, losing his virginity, his early stand-up years. Spade also chronicles career highlights, including hosting the Hollywood Minute skit on SNL, which pissed off Eddie Murphy – a feud that only recently ended – and his deep friendship with “Farlz.” Chapters include “My First Hooker” and “The Time I Did Too Much Coke.”
