Sexual Fantasies: Mental Sex Toys to Keep Women on Track

Sexual Fantasies: Mental Sex Toys to Keep Women on Track

Welcome to another installment of blush-inducing, inappropriate but educated discussion about all kinds of sex stuff. Rape fantasies. Group sex. Stripping. Have I got your attention?

As I've mentioned in several past articles, the Internet is my happy place. Clearance shopping, music sharing, anonymous e-sex (just kidding...maybe), and catching that episode of Community you missed last week because the plumber was checking a particularly steady leak.

The Internet is also a great place to get your voice heard, and there's been a plethora of web radio shows that have shown much love to yours truly. One of my favorites is "Between the Sheets" on NewDissidentRadio.com, an online station that features a few shows that, despite their glaring lack of Barbie, I actually listen to because (GASP!) they're good!

Ex. "Porn Star Pundits" with Johnny Dam and Dawn Tulman. I can't wait to see that one turned into a TV show or something else along the lines of awesome.

I was on "Between the Sheets" last week during the torrential downpour to discuss female fantasies. Using some top 10 lists found online as a foundation, host Lora Somoza, comedienne Danielle Stewart, erotic aesthetician Amanda Smash Hyde, and I tangent-ed our way through what through makes women tick "down there" faster, and what kind of a role fantasies play in our sex lives.

Many men and women out there view fantasies in a negative way:

  • It's mental "cheating"
  • They distract you from what you "should" be focusing on during sex
  • They present intimidating sexual competition you can't control
  • It's embarrassing to be turned on by fictional fornication

But what fantasies actually provide, among other things, is a sort of sexual meditation, allowing the thinker to focus and stay focused on the act at hand. Once the fantasy is in full swing, permeating that concentration becomes close to impossible.

(I've fucked through a smoke alarm barely batting a false eyelash.)

And it gives our minds some exercise from the norm, allowing us to explore without committing to purchasing a top-of-the-line leather strap-on or perusing Craigslist for a BBW who likes fisting.

The mind is our bodies' most powerful sex tool -- especially for women -- and it'll get flaccid, out of shape and stale if you don't let it explore.

And with that, here are some notable soundbytes:

  • "You could just porn it up and spooge ON the sandwich."
  • "She wants you to get railed on Christmas, is what she's trying to say."
  • "Well excuse me for wanting to bone a vampire."
  • "Watching a guy suck your strap-on? That's hot."

Plus us ladies bonded a bit over shared gutter-worthy memories of Hampton Beach, N.H., where all teenage New Englanders flock to find themselves. And an STI or two.

Check out episode 18 here, and turn it up -- you're gonna laugh at least three times.
