What? No Meatballs?

Banish those horribly traumatic summer camp memories with this year's carefree Cinespia Summer Camp, a communal movie extravaganza that runs until 6 a.m., which gives you just enough time to run home and shower before going to Confession and admitting all those terrible things you did behind the mausoleum. Whole films screened in their entirety include Wet Hot American Summer, the 2001 Jewish summer camp sex comedy; a midnight showing of slasher semi-classic Sleepaway Camp; and Little Darlings with Tatum O'Neal and Kristy McNichol as young women competing to be the first to lose their virginity, a contest in which there are in fact no losers. There are also murder highlights from Friday the 13th, various nature and surfing documentaries, photo-booths and the ominous-sounding "camp activities.” Peanut Butter Wolf, CutChemist, DJ Hymnal and Carlos Nino DJ through the night, doubtless fueled by all that complimentary Intelligentsia coffee served from dusk ‘til dawn. Part of Everything is Fest; see Film. Cinespia Cemetery Screenings, Hollywood Forever, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd.; Sat., Aug. 18, 7 p.m., $12. (323) 469-1181, cinespia.org
