The Prose and Cons of Miley Cyrus

Rock stars are considered well read if they can get through the Harry Potter series. So it's no surprise that many of them are published authors. Thanks to years of bad celebrity memoirs and books, Emmy-winning TV writer and producer Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel have created Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words, which features comics and other entertainers acting out the unintentionally funny, vapid, disingenuous, absurd and just poorly written works of their show business brethren. Since its inception in 1998, the show has gone from a local production to Bravo TV to off-Broadway. Tonight's special music-themed edition includes Pack, Reyfel, Roger Bart, Illeana Douglas, Will Forte, Lainie Kazan, Laraine Newman, Jonathan Silverman, Fred Willard, Rita Wilson and others reading the not-so-deep thoughts of Destiny's Child, Motley Crue, Miley Cyrus and Madonna, who, if you recall, wrote about getting crabs, playing with her vagina and waking up in the morning with "my lover's cock inside of me" in her 1992 fartsy nudie tome, Sex. You'll also recall that she went on to write children's books. Grammy Museum, 800 W. Olympic Blvd.; Wed., Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m.; $45. (213) 765-6800.
