Strawberry Fields for Daddy

Jeff Toczynski not only has Paul McCartney's Liverpudlian accent down pat, he's a dead ringer for the real mop-top in his younger, better-looking days. Hear him live in concert this Father's Day, along with his three equally talented mates, David Brighton, Gilbert Bonilla and Mike Sarafian, in Ticket to Ride, one of the best Beatles tribute bands this side of the Greenwich meridian. The group formed in 1996, and ever since they've been traveling the world serenading audiences with the Beatles' repertoire using dead-on vocals and instrumental accuracy. Their following is legendary: Last year's outdoor amphitheater concert broke the park's attendance record with more than 11,000 fans present. And it's not surprising. Unbeknownst to audiences, many tribute bands use prerecorded tracks. Not these lads. Their 100 percent live music reverberates throughout the park, thanks to an exceptional sound system. They make three costume changes (reflecting the early Beatles, Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road) and play songs from every Beatles album. Reminiscent of a '60s happening, this concert gets everyone dancing and singing. Even some old flower children come out of the woodwork.
