National Geographic Live: Core, Fire, and Ice

As part of National Geographic’s speaker series, underwater photographer David Doubilet and his wife, photojournalist Jennifer Hayes, discuss the behind-the-scenes stories and images of some of their work in Papa New Guinea, Antarctica and Canada’s Gulf of St. Lawrence. Born in N.Y., Doubilet began taking photos underwater at 12. He’s published for National Geographic for more than 40 years, authored a dozen photography books and worked on assignments around the globe from Africa to the Gulf of Mexico to Australia.
