Mick Foley: Tales From Wrestling Past
Most performers who stand on the Ice House stage have not been hit repeatedly with folding chairs or had their head trauma broadcast on television, but former WWE wrestler Mick Foley has the scars (and the paycheck stubs) to back up his physical resilience. Thankfully, the 49-year-old Foley won't be wielding any furniture for this night, Mick Foley: Tales From Wrestling Past. He'll be telling stories to people seated in the dark, drinking a minimum of two drinks. The wounded warrior has written a couple of novels, four children's books and four memoirs, yet he still has some secrets to share. Foley can be irresistibly charming while describing broken bones and being knocked unconscious. Bring a healthy appetite for blood and pain but, for your own safety, don't heckle. The Ice House, 24 N. Mentor Ave., Pasadena; Tue., Aug. 12, 8 p.m.; $25-$32. (626) 577-1894, icehousecomedy.com.
Tue., Aug. 12, 8 p.m., 2014 (Expired: 08/12/14)
