How Green Was My Downtown

How Green Was My Downtown

One might not immediately equate L.A. Live — the sprawling entertainment complex that houses Staples Center (home to the L.A. Lakers, Kings and Clippers), the Grammy Museum, a protruding, boner-shaped Ritz-Carlton hotel and various and sundry tourist entertainments — with Earth Day. (Although mogul Phil Anschutz and company did just complete a pricey environmental impact report for his proposed downtown football stadium.) Still, the sports-minded and light Greens alike are invited to the "interactive" Earth Day Fair at L.A. Live, which will feature live music, talent and athlete meet-and-greets, environmental booths and recycling activities, plus Radio Disney to warp the kiddies. The aim is to make L.A. Live "the destination where Los Angeles comes together to celebrate the Earth while educating themselves about environmental sustainability and living green." If you've ever wanted to ask Metta World Peace about his recycling methods, this may be your chance. Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live, 800 W.
