GOD BLESS US EVERY RUM
Are you still searching for the Christmas spirit? Can't face another Nutcracker or Christmas Carol? It's not too late to get that joyful, rosy-cheeked look on your Scroogy face. And we promise, there's no "Silent Night" or Celine Dion in Yo Ho Ho! A Pirate's Christmas. The show returns for its third smash year, which, in Los Angeles years, makes it as traditional as the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. With music and lyrics by Scott DeTurk and James J. Mellon and written and directed by Mellon, the show tells the story of a bunch of "directionally challenged" pirates, led by Black-Eyed Johnny, who invade the North Pole, where they meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and the elves. Promised: "a musical feast of shanties, songs, Santa Claus and snow."
Fridays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 3 & 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 11, noon; Sat., Dec. 18, noon; Dec. 21-23, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Nov. 26. Continues through Dec. 23, 2010
