Take the stage, make a fool of yourself, repeat. You'll be learning something about yourself and following in the funny footsteps of such Improv Olympic alumni and comedic giants as Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Mike Myers and Chris Farley. The iO West returns with the Los Angeles Improv Comedy Festival, featuring improv shows and classes spread across seven days and three stages, and presided over by both seasoned theater performers and TV heavyweights. Take notes during the workshops covering everything from the Art of Mimicry to Emo Assault. (Surely, one of the members of Those Who Oppose Us Will Stand Knee Deep in the Blood of Their Children has something to teach.) Or learn from the pros, including the cast of Community and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet, who appear in The Armando Show, iO's long-running staple, which revolves around an audience member's suggestion. You also can watch The Simpsons' Dan Castellaneta take part in an improvised musical and sparks of genius fly as Conan's writing staff performs. Last but not least, a reunion of MADtv actors, including Michael McDonald, Ike Barinholtz, Mo Collins, Stephnie Weir, Frank Caeti and others. What? No Debra Wilson? We need her spot-on impersonation of Whitney Houston now more than ever. iO West Theater, 6366 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.; Sun., June 3, 7:30 p.m.-mid.; thru June 9; $5-$25.
