Crazy Happenings in the South Bay

As summer fades and the leaves (well, palm fronds) begin to fall and the colors of the trees change (well, brown-er), enigmatic South Bay impresario Noah K presents "Fright Night L.A." Tonight's titanic double-bill: Robot Monster (1953), the ageless story of global annihilation and the love of a robot-headed gorilla for the last teen girl on earth, and The Mask (1961), a timeless tale of archaeologists digging where they shouldn't. Both films are presented in 3-D, with glasses going to the first 300 ticketholders, which seems like a lot until one considers the Grand seats over 1,600. Also: a performance by horror/punk merchants Order of the Fly, and the Rubenesque burlesque of Miss Bonnie Delight. There's also a raffle from which you could win a dead body; "free Toyota/free Toy Yoda" schemes notwithstanding, this could be the body of a fly or a jackalope, so cross fingers accordingly.
