Bing, Bing, Bing Those Christmas Bells
The 1977 television special Bing Crosby's Merry Olde Christmas may live on in infamy, thanks to Bing's famous duet with David Bowie. But it lives on in an evil, parallel universe as well, thanks to the UCBT's Mike Still, who morphs into the star, writing "Christmas songs for the Chinese and demanding that his sons, Burl Ives and Irving Berlin" gag on spiked eggnog in preparation for a repeat of Bowie's surreal entrance in A Bing Crosby Christmas Christ-tacular, which Still describes as what "a Christmas special looks like after a concussion." Bowie's inclusion will "look normal" in comparison to what follows, which includes visits from Brian Wilson, Kenny Rogers and the li'l Baby Jesus himself. UCBT regulars and friends will swirl around like comedy-laden snowflakes, and you can further this yuletide night of yuks by sticking around for the next show, the Orphans and Jews Holiday Improv Hour, wherein the pros improvise sketches based on the audiences' tales of holiday hysteria and woe.
