Los Angeles is often accused of being a cold-blooded place. The folks over at Exotic Life Fish & Reptile readily agree, but they love it. After all, their cold-blooded cohorts of choice aren't shifty entertainment producers or slimy executives but rather awesomely colorful and unusual lizards, fish, toads, snakes and other cool creatures. Within the shop's two sizable rooms, you'll see a leucistic leopard gecko, a ghost tree frog, a captive-bred baby Australian frilled dragon, an Egyptian uromastyx, a slew of pythons and dozens of other species, including kaleidoscopically patterned fish. Owner Rusty Paramonov clearly loves these creatures as living things, not just as products, and he also carries a tremendous array of exotic animal–related supplies, accessories and food.
