You know how shrinks tell you to go to your "happy place"? Imagine an open field, the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, and you're in a state of complete calm. That pretty much sums up this spot, except add lots and lots of wine. Malibu Family Wines is nestled high above the town's beaches, where it always seems to be sunnier than at the hazy shore below. (Or perhaps that's what our euphoric state would have us believe.) Dozens of umbrella-ed tables dot a well-manicured lawn, and you're welcome to sit at any of them for as long as you'd like. You can bring in food and purchase bottles of wine, as well as take in a tasting at your leisure, and pretty much just hang out. As if that weren't lovely enough, there's live music on the weekends.
