Nah, you think — when suddenly you spot an out-of-place sign that would be well nigh impossible in your own neighborhood. It reads "The Kendor Farm," and it touts the firm's certified organic eggs and organic, free-range chickens. Is this a movie shoot? Nope. Tucked into aging residential hell, this well-regarded organic firm supplies eggs to four farmers markets locally — Calabasas, Encino, Hollywood and Peninsula Center in Rolling Hills Estates. The firm keeps regular office hours in Lake Balboa, but if you buy direct, you have to purchase a minimum of 30 dozen eggs.
