Skinny Bitches, Orange Men and Rockin' Wild Boys

Sick of the post-Emmys coverage yet?

Even if you only a watched a smidge of the entertainment shows the past two days, you know more than enough.

Where to get knockoffs of Emmy dresses: ABS and Faviana. (They look cheap to me).

What was bleeped from the telecast ("god-damn" and "screw"). (Oy vey).

And all about the parties: apparently cry-baby Kanye (who parodied himself on the show) did surprise sets at both the TV Guide after-party at Les Deux and Justin Timberlake's concert on Sunday.

(I went to JT's show on Monday, more about that in this week's Nightranger).

As promised here's some tidbits about the party I attended, The People/Entertainment Tonight soiree at the Disney Concert Hall:

Duran Duran were the highlight. Seriously, Simon Lebon's vox sound just like they did back in the '80's. The band smartly stuck to the hits, only debuting one new one, called "Falling Down" from their new release, fittingly titled (for this crowd), "Red Carpet Massacre." Lebon said the band worked on it with Timabland and Justin Timberlake (Isn't JT also on Reba McKintire's new one? These two may be talented, but gawd, who won't they pimp themselves out to?). Speaking of which...

Celeb sightings:

Debra Messing (chatting with America's Next Top Model's Miss Jay) looked stunning in white, but her train was getting mighty dingy by mid-bash.

Larry Birkhead (see photo, which I shot on the Red Carpet) has the bluest eyes I've ever seen. He's cute, but like a deer in the headlights.

The Insider's Pat O'Brien is orange. (But you probably already knew that).

Tori Spelling looks amazing after just having a baby! (Don't they all?)

Gerri Ryan (not sure what show she's currently on, but she was on Star Trek) loooves Duran Duran. She was quite literally dancing under Lebon's crotch the whole set, her loaned diamonds and pearls shimmering under the lights.

And for the party perks:

A Godiva chocolate bar! Pure heaven.

Patina Catering. Yum.

Free Maybelline makeup and Garnier face cleansing products.

Skinny Bitches, Orange Men and Rockin' Wild Boys

And the 5 lb goodie bag (which we scored!):

Sarah Jessica Parker's new perfume, candles, candy, cookies, more makeup and skin products, DVDs, gift certificates for massages and facials, CDs, and the book guaranteed to make us all feel guilty about the party's many indulgences- Skinny Bitch (basically a mean-spirited vegan cookbook).

SCREW that. I say as I bite another Godiva, and it tastes GOD DAMN good too...

Read more about the party in a star-crossed edition of Nightranger (also covering everything from Har Mar Superstar's pilot shoot to World of Wonder's "Celebritism" exhibit), out tomorrow.
