Artist Natalia Fabia loves hookers and the color pink. (Click here to read about her last Hooker Pageant.) She lives in a bungalow in Glendale and recently opened up her house to the LA Weekly for a studio tour. That's her in the photo above with the painting she's working on for the upcoming Three Apples: Hello Kitty exhibit at Royal/T.
Her cat, Toulouse. Normally frisky, but mellow today.
The bedroom. Connects directly to her studio space. The schedule is usually: sleep, wake, paint, repeat.
Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?
She loves this thrift store painting. Can't decide whether or not to paint over it.
Natalia makes jewelry on the side.
Items on the dresser. A DL&Co candle she can't wait to burn.
A portrait of Natalia done by a friend. It hangs over her night stand.
Her inspiration wall, with a Polish saying, "Na zdrowie."
The living room. Notice the puppet theater curtains over the fireplace. The painting over the couch is by her.
She clearly has a thing for chandeliers.
A painting for a friend with neon green hair.
Weird things on the coffee table. Lots of stuff like this all over her house!
A "siamese hooker" mannequin she built for a past show. In the foyer.
The bathroom. Notice the photos of people sitting on the toilet...over the toilet. More crystals.
She made this Britney painting in college. The boobs swivel, and the crotch lights up. The painting also used to play the song "Toxic" but it doesn't anymore.
