Mr. Brainwash Strikes Again! New Piece Sets Venue for His First L.A. Show Since Exit Through the Gift Shop
Consider yourself warned. Mr. Brainwash, aka Thierry Guetta, the real guy/fake artist star of Banksy's Exit Through the Gift Shop is bringing another of his art shows to Los Angeles, and, as evidenced by the new explosion of wheatpaste and red paint on the corner of La Brea and Romaine, he has found the venue.
The beautiful, multi-story vacant factory building that used to house Jerry Solomon's framing business on the ground floor will now host MBWs next art extravaganza slated to open in the early fall.
How well it will do without the help of his, ahem, friends remains to be seen, but it's clear he's made a few new ones since Exit. Morgan Spurlock may be destined to direct the sequel as he was formally chatting Thierry up for his 30 Days reality show as he pasted for cameras and onlookers during Wednesday's rush hour commute.
For the process shots check out Melrose and Fairfax. Holla.
