Modernist House for Chickens: Frederik Roije's "Breed and Retreat"
From the department of "are you kidding me??" comes this multi-level mid-century design influenced home for chickens. I saw it on the highbrow design blog Dezeen, which states: "Dutch designer Frederik Roijé will present a home for chickens called Breed and Retreat in Milan next month." Something about the formality of that statement makes it extra-hilarious.
Go here for more on the creator of the Breed and Retreat. I mean, these are chickens, right? Chickens? They will certainly fowl the place up. Oh god. I made that joke.
Yes, that's an egg in the window. America gives the world the KFC "Double Down" and the Dutch give the world an architectural chicken palace. That pretty much says it all.
