Choreographer Cati Jean’s seductive rendition of French cabaret and the eight accomplished dancers who serve up Jean’s sensuous dance moves have made this long-running show a popular fixture on King King’s weekly lineup. The show and its extended run indicate how the club scene has emerged as an important alternative to booking a theater. A number of emerging commercial choreographers whose moves light up Gap and Target ads on TV or back up the singers in music videos or concerts are turning to clubs as venues to stretch artistically. Alas, Jean and her dancers are moving on to other projects; there are only two more chances to catch their naughty/nice, spicy/sweet show. King King, 6555 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.; Thurs., Dec. 7 & 21, 8 p.m.; $26 reserved seating; $15 general admission, $10 in advance. (323) 960-9234 or www.smarttix.com.
