Our main ho at VillageVoice.com - who should be proud to have never faked an orgasm - hit us up about this particular study coming out of Temple University.

[EDITOR'S NOTE: If this were the shit I got to research in Journalism school I would have paid more attention and drank less whiskey.]

These researchers surveyed 366 women between the ages of 18 and 32 and found that these women cut the sessions off quick not because they wanted to boost their bed-friends' egos, but because of their own insecurities and/or fatigue.

Well, honestly? Duh. Kinda.

It doesn't take a scientific study to figure out that men and women aren't always compatible in bed. Guys don't often rock gals' worlds right off the bat, and girls frequently make more than a few faux pas while physically getting to know their new manfriends.

But rather than make the awkward effort to ask and/or tell where to put what and how hard, it's easier to go as long as she can take it before her vagina needs a break and/or "Dancing With the Stars" is about to start.

So about 60 percent of women at some point in their lives have faked an orgasm in order to get the sex to stop, as opposed to about 25 percent of men. Of course, it's harder for a dude to fake it...there's, uh, evidence left behind following a successful orgasm.

But apparently a small percentage faked it in order to essentially fool their own brains into enjoying the experience more than their bodies did. That just seems kinda sad but, at the end of the day, whatever you gotta do to feel fulfilled you gotta fucking do!
