Acceptable Materials:
Camera Ready Ads in the form of film or reflective artwork are not accepted. If you have special requirements for sending your ads, please contact your Sales Representative. All ads should be submitted in electronic form by either disk, e-mail or through our ftp site. Tiff or Jpeg files are acceptable (save tiff’s with Macintosh encoding and LZW compression. Save jpeg’s as baseline standard and quality 10. both should be 300 dpi). We cannot accept native files (Quark, Illustrator, etc.) all files should be converted to PDF FORMAT.
PDF FORMAT
• PDF’s should be created with Acrobat Distiller using the Press Optimized job option. An LA Weekly specific job option file is available on this page.
• Do not use PDF Writer to create a PDF. The file will not be usable for printing.
• All fonts must be embedded.
• File settings from Quark and other page layout programs should be 2400dpi and 100 linescreen.
• 4 Color ads should be created as composite CMYK with all spot colors converted to process. RGB files must be converted to CMYK before creating the PDF.
• DO NOT INCLUDE: OPI tags, ICC profiles or transparency when creating PDFs. Copy will be lost during the production process.

Camera Ready Ads in the form of film or reflective artwork are not accepted. If you have special requirements for sending your ads, please contact your Sales Representative. All ads should be submitted in electronic form by either disk, e-mail or through our ftp site. Tiff or Jpeg files are acceptable (save tiff’s with Macintosh encoding and LZW compression. Save jpeg’s as baseline standard and quality 10. both should be 300 dpi). We cannot accept native files (Quark, Illustrator, etc.) all files should be converted to PDF FORMAT.
PDF FORMAT
• PDF’s should be created with Acrobat Distiller using the Press Optimized job option. An LA Weekly specific job option file is available on this page.
• Do not use PDF Writer to create a PDF. The file will not be usable for printing.
• All fonts must be embedded.
• File settings from Quark and other page layout programs should be 2400dpi and 100 linescreen.
• 4 Color ads should be created as composite CMYK with all spot colors converted to process. RGB files must be converted to CMYK before creating the PDF.
• DO NOT INCLUDE: OPI tags, ICC profiles or transparency when creating PDFs. Copy will be lost during the production process.
