What's Julie Brown — the comic genius behind the brilliant Madonna spoof Medusa: Dare to Be Truthful — been up to recently? Quite a lot. "Lately, I've been an actress and consultant on Melissa & Joey. I've been writing a pilot for a Japanese company, and I'm playing Frankie Jonas's mom. I did an album a year ago called, Smell the Glamour, which should be on iTunes. And I've done YouTube videos, especially spoofing Victoria Jackson, which were featured on The Huffington Post. And I'm sure they're why Obama won! Also, getting my son through his senior year of high school and into Berkeley in the last year and a half was a full-time job. But now that he's there, I can start performing again. I'd like to do Madonna again because so much has happened: the kids, the Kabbalah, the tour, the 20-year-old boyfriends. So I'm trying to figure out what form to do that. Another documentary or web series?" And what will she talk about at Beth Lapides' Uncabaret? "Maybe the horror of dating again. I broke up with my boyfriend a year ago and can only now think about it." Brown performs with Taylor Negron, Natasha Leggero and Lauren Weedman. First & Hope, 710 W. First St., dwntwn.; Sun., Feb. 3, 8 p.m.; $20. uncabaret.com
