It's spectacular enough to hear one fab soprano like Susan Graham or Renee Fleming. But when they pool their prodigious forces, make sure your seat belts are fastened for takeoff. Not only are these incredible ladies drop-dead gorgeous butthey're also known for their delightful personalities. Fleming, who won the affectionate nickname "the people's diva," loves to chat with her audiences and invites them to sing along. Graham is a brilliant singing actress with a great sense of humor, evident in the title of her latest album, a selection of great arias entitled Virgins, Vixens and Viragos. Ever since they made opera history when they were paired in Der Rosenkavalier at the Met, Fleming and Graham have enjoyed working together, and this week the Los Angeles Philharmonic, in conjunction with L.A. Opera, presents Renee Fleming and Susan Graham in Recital. The program of French songs -- a repertoire in which both artists excel -- includes duets by Berlioz, Saint-Saens, Faure, Debussy, Hahn and Messager. And, of course, Delibes -- will they sing the "Flower Song" from Lakme? You bet. Walt Disney Concert Hall, 111 S. Grand Ave., dwntwn.; Sat., Jan. 19, 8 p.m.; $61 & $56. (231) 850-2000, laphil.com.
