The thing is I can kindof symapthize being that I was a homeless junkie downtown for almost a decade. But after I got clean and my life together I could also understand the other side/position of the people around him.Yes the guy has a right to live where ever he wants, but obviously he has some kind of mental disability/illness if he chooses to spend his settlement $ carelessly on expensive loft leases and lawyers on a futile eviction fight.I don't think its up to social services(they don't have)to help him(becuz after his settlement he would no longer fall under the welfair/low income bracket that u need to qualify for homeless services). But he definately needs some kind of help if he can't understand the common hygeine practices/use of soap is to wash your body not put in the gap under your door to keep your neighboys from smelling your funky ass.and yes it would've been much better in his interest to rent a small house where his stench couldn't bother anyone than an expensive loft, that's what social workers could have helped him with. But its hard to feel pity on anyone as idiotic and senseless as this.
