Which One's Oates?

Comedic cuties Garfunkel & Oates celebrate their fourth anniversary at Largo where past shows have included guests like Sarah Silverman, Nick Kroll and Jen Kirkman. Four years isn’t exactly a major milestone, but guitarist Riki Lindhome and ukulele-player Kate Micucci have accomplished plenty in that time: film and TV roles, podcasts and festival appearances, not to mention their 2011 debut, All Over Your Face, the album that gave us "Gay Boyfriend," "This Party Took a Turn for the Douche" and the very true "Pregnant Women are Smug." The two recently released their second album, Slippery When Moist, which includes more endlessly quotable songs, mostly about current and ex-boyfriends ("Silver Lining," "My Apartment is Very Clean Without You" and "Handjob, Bladjob, I Don’t Understand Job"). ("Handy j’s are like Stonehenge to me/Robert Stack can’t even unsolve this mystery.") And last year, they inked a deal with HBO for what should’ve been a TV pilot but became a series of equally funny webisodes. Their big, network break is imminent, though, we can feel it. If Flight of the Conchords, two scruffy guys from a country most people still confuse with Australia, can invade America, so can two hot and hilarious chicks from our turf. Largo, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd.; Thurs., Oct. 18, 8:30 p.m.; $25. (310) 855-0350, largo-la.com
