Pride Fetish Ball

Thursday, Jun 7 2012
"Dress to Freak!" is the recommended couture at tonight's Pride Fetish Ball. That doesn't mean you have to come as the naked zombie who ate the drifter's face in Miami — but with attendees who take the definition of a "scandalous masquerade" at its most literal, you never know just what to expect from one of these prideful fetish-y balls. At the very least, it's a chance to scare the squares from Getmethefuckouttahere, Iowa, who stumble all over themselves at CityWalk in search of the essence of Hollywood — of course, the flipside of that is, with the way you're dressed, they might think you're from a movie. A direct-to-laserdisc movie. So cool it with the latex, stop overplucking your eyebrows, suck in that gut and dress to depress — because the escalators at CityWalk are the longest runway imaginable leading into a night that's all about heads held high, not common tasteless ego. Infusion Lounge, Universal CityWalk, 1000 Universal Studios Blvd., Ste. #208, Universal City; Fri., June 8, 9 p.m.; $20. (818) 622-4445,
