Just as all movies should have orangutans and karate in them, Cinefamily staunchly supports the assertion — via "The Five Minutes Game" — that every movie is interesting for at least its first five minutes. While this may not apply to Andy Warhol's Empire or most Movies of the Week in the '70s, Cinefamily has taken "those fascinating moments when you're still ... trying to figure out what the hell's going on" from 15 films, the majority of which aren't available on DVD. This amplifies the normal state of audience confusion, and then everyone votes on which five minutes were the most interesting. They screen the winner, pair it with a smoky, cozy Memorial Day barbecue and send you off with just enough time to catch the last steaks before they sail away to a magical whirlpool of stomach acid.
