Move over Keyboard Cat and Dramatic Squirrel. The latest animal on the Internet to make us two-legged species laugh and waste precious work time is the honey badger. The popularity of YouTube's "The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger" has to date attracted more than 44 million views thanks to the single-named Randall, who narrates the video, featuring footage from National Geographic, with a bratty, sissified lisp that sounds like a cross between Richard Simmons and an American Simon Cowell. He also looks like the gay cousin of comic Jeff Foxworthy. Of course, one viral video begets dozens more, not to mention T-shirts, a doll, phone apps, an award for Best Remix, Mash-Up or Supercut Video on the recent Comedy Awards and even name-checks on Glee and the Betty White sitcom Hot in Cleveland. In January, the L.A. native and father of three cats also released Honey Badger Don't Care: Randall's Guide to Crazy, Nastyass Animals, a wildlife picture book dedicated to such not-so-cute-and-cuddly creatures as the Tasmanian Devil, opossum, sloth and tarsier. Each of the 11 chapters is loaded with surprisingly educational info on the animals' habitats, feeding habits and mating rituals, and is accompanied by funny doodles and snarky quote bubbles. "Did Don Knotts fuck a bat?" he asks of the aye-aye, the bug-eyed nocturnal primate native to the rain forests of Madagascar. Attempting to s-t-r-e-t-c-h his 15 minutes even longer, Randall mounts this one-man show, This ... Is Randall, which will include animal stories, a house band and additional bitchy comments for anyone who submits a home video or picture. Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd.; Wed., May 30, 8 p.m.; $25. (310) 855-0350.
