Back in the pre-motherhood, pre-Esther and pre-Malawi days of the Material Girl's career, there was no greater Madonna parodist than Julie Brown, the comedienne behind the hysterical Showtime mockumentary Medusa: Dare to be Truthful. More than 20 years later, the torch has been passed to another "Jew-Talian," Nadya Ginsburg. The L.A.-via-N.Y. actress has done TV, film, commercials and loads of Internet videos, and currently writes the bitchy words that come out of Joan Rivers' botox-smoothed mouth on E! Fashion Police. But she's best known for her nearly dozen YouTube spoofs of the Queen of Pop, some of which include fellow comedienne Selene Luna playing her Lady Gaga-loving daughter Lourdes, complete with unibrow and hairy upper lip. Ginsburg keeps her uncanny impersonations of Madonna fresh, especially the nasal, haughty faux-British accent and constant spiritual mumbo jumbo. (Even the funnier are the videos of Ginsburg channeling Cher as a long-suffering mother of a pre-op transgender.) With Gaga conspicuously MIA from the press and Madonna conveniently swooping in to make 2012 her year pre-meditated? Nah Ginsburg's current incarnation of her traveling show Madonnalogueswill no doubt include plenty of jabs aimed at the singer's new album, new boy toy and new mug. Kids do nothing but wreak havoc on a diva's face. Cavern Club Theater at Casita Del Campo, 1920 Hyperion Ave., Silver Lake; Fri.-Sat., April 6-7, 9 p.m.; $12. (323) 969-2530.
