Then We Came to the End

Finally, last week's music feature, "The Johnny Appleseed of Dubstep," by Liz Ohanesian, led to one of the most depressing letters we've ever read. Take it away, Adam Williamstein!

"[W]hy are you all pushing this 'genre' on us? Back in the day, at least, maybe, people used drugs while writing songs. Now, they don't even write songs anymore. All the previous generations of music could at least share real musicians and real songwriting. Now you have to take drugs just to listen to this ... stuff. ...

"What has happened to music? It feels like God has taken away music, and it has been replaced with ... this. It feels like that Harrison Ford movie with all the androids who've lost their souls. It feels like dark skies and black and purple clouds, and just plain ... death."

I personally know "Nuch" Trutanich, and he is of great character and doesn't take anything laying down. I own a bail bonds in the port of Los Angeles, in San Pedro, CA. named Sylvia's Bail bonds, which has been in the community since 1935. I have met all the corrupt people surrounding my business and I can tell you that Mr. Trutanich is tough and doesn't put up with illegal acts. I'm for all business's in California doing well, even if it means medical marijuana dispensaries operating. The dispensaries that were shut down were completely illegal and followed no guidelines, he isn't shutting down the ones who follow the rules. He has also seen the corruption in my industry, and it's at full force. My industry is suffering badly and Mr. Trutanich is trying to help us. He is a good man working in a corrupt world, and if he said something that he said he wouldn't do and did it, it's for a good reason. I would rather have him lie about running for a higher office than lie to keep corruption going. He was advised to run because it's the perfect time for him to do so, sorry he has strict rules but you're better off in public safety to have him in office.Jen DolceCFOSylvia's Bail Bonds

While you're saying No to Jerry on his tax proposals, say goodbye to Carmen. Its the least we can do for our state and city.

The Carmen the Barbarian issue of the LA Weekly is destined to become a classic. My newsstand was stripped bare of issues within a day! The awesome cover probably will grace the walls of the ever growing numbers of Los Angelenos who are going to tell Trutanich to go to hell on June 5, 2012. BTW I saw a copy of LA Weekly is being sold on Craigslist for $50. Glad I got my copy free!
