In Los Angeles, we have many flavors of improv comedy to choose from: shows based on the audience's Facebook posts, worst dates, worst jobs and goofiest shout-outs (once at Chicago's Second City, this writer had to explain "long pig" to future members of SNL). Here's a new twist, based on your cringe-worthy youth spent playing ... Dungeons and Dragons? For its first hour, Drunkards and Dragons/Hispania: The Improvised Telenovela invites you to participate in a "Medieval fantasy adventure ... brought to life by veteran comedians" and based on audience suggestions, whereby the audience rolls the D&D dice, splits into teams and roots for various costumed sorcerers and elves. It gets weirder, as the second half of the improv program unfolds in "the style of a Mexican telenovela," complete with "lust, passion, and thick accents." It's like two entirely different and equally deranged shows in one! (And as zany as it sounds, one assumes the RPG-loving audience will be pretty interesting as well.) IO West Theater, 6366 Hollywood Blvd., Hlwyd.; Mon., March 5. 8:30 p.m.;. $10, 21+ only; http://www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=4342455
