Amy Poehler's steady rise from the only female member of the O.G. Upright Citizens' Brigade, to cult comedy mainstay, to longtime SNLlynchpin and now the star of one of TV's most critically acclaimed sitcoms has rarely seen her deliver a performance where she was off her game. Hell, she was even pitch-perfect amid the persistent WTF-ery of Richard Kelly's Southland Tales no mean feat. Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America "written" by Poehler's alter ego on Parks and Recreation, Leslie Knope is about to be released; in conjunction, Live Talks L.A. hosts a comediennes' summit featuring Poehler in conversation with the estimable Jane Lynch (no slouch herself when it's time to bring the funny). Ticket pricing tiers include copies of Pawnee and/or Lynch's book Happy Accidents. Proceeds from this event support the Adopt the Arts Foundation. Live Talks L.A. at the Aero Theatre, 1328 Montana Ave., Santa Monica; Sun., Feb. 12, 7:30 p.m. (reception 6 p.m.); $25-$115. (310) 260-1528; livetalksla.org.
