More About
Harriett Bronson, who signs and presents her new book Charlie & Me (Timberlake Press), isn't writing about the Viet Cong or the faceless boss of three Angels. She's writing about her life with husband Charles Bronson, the action-adventure star who appeared in more than 100 films and TV shows from 1944 to 1999. In her book, Madame Bronson nee Harriett Tendler reveals what went on during their marriage, which lasted from 1949 to 1967. After their breakup, she had to build a life again, finding a home for herself and her two children in Los Angeles and unexpectedly following a new creative outlet as a broadcaster on KABC and KIEV for nine years, interviewing men in the street. "The only things in life that are permanent are memories," she says past warmth and brilliance of dead stars notwithstanding.
