Halloween has gradually changed from "All Saint's Eve" to "The Night When Parents Failed and Should Be Jailed and Their Children Taken Away." Return to a markedly less grumpy time in the history of Halloween with Jerry Beck's fourth annual Cartoon Monster Mash. It's a "monster mash-up" of classic cartoons: Casper, Witch Hazel (you'll have to show up to see if it's the Disney version or the Looney Tunes version), the '70s nausea of Groovie Goolies and the terminally underrated Milton the Monster, all ripping through the holes in your subconscious to play on the big screen in 16mm and 35mm prints in tacky red Eastman Color and unnaturally vivid Technicolor. Did you know that, in 2010, shipping prints alone cost Cinefamily $29,278? Scary!
