Greg Proops has been a cult comedy fave for nearly two decades now, as popular overseas (original U.K. Whose Line Is It Anyway? cast, w00t!) as he is here among comedy nerds. Equally prolific as a standup, voice-over artist and TV panelist as he is for the improv comedy that made him famous, Proops also hosts a hugely popular podcast titled The Smartest Man in the World, which lands at Nerdist Industries' space at Meltdown this week to record in front of a live audience. Well worth checking out for a healthy dose of Proops' witty repartee, each episode focuses on a specific topic of his choosing (past episodes range from "Buffalo" to "Raspberries" to "Antipodes") and he just riffs from there. (Kind of like the McKenzie Brothers, only smarter and more stylish. And presumably with less back bacon and beer.)
