America, You're Beautiful — Too Bad You Have to Work Tomorrow

You have your red, white and blue spangly top hat, your stars & stripes tote bag, and you're ready to party like it's 1776 for the Fourth of July. Budget cuts this year saw the end of some free public fireworks in places including Marina Del Rey (boo!), but there are plenty of other spots to watch spacious skies light up. Some are even free — just like our country. The nonfree biggies are at the Hollywood Bowl, Rose Bowl, Dodger Stadium, Home Depot Center, Queen Mary and CBS Studio Center, while free fireworks can be seen over the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, Pacific Palisades, Cabrillo Beach and Long Beach. Where might one get all this info in one convenient place? At a little place we like to call http://www.laweekly.com/events/search/category:%5B591635%5D/.
