I live in Silver Lake and the EastsiderLA's in depth coverage of everything in my neighborhood, from crime to every kind of community issue / development you can imagine, has been a godsend.
I hear helicopters and sure enough I can find out why on that site within hours, sometimes within minutes - and with comments from the awesome Lt. Wes Buhrmester of LAPD/Rampart keeping us updated. Besides giving Jesus the scoop he actually interacts with the readers in the comments section of the stories.
And Jesus is very responsive if you have questions about goings-on in the area. He is totally accessible and will find out the answers for you. This site is my go-to source for news about my community that I could never find elsewhere. EastsiderLA rules.
