“Space Suit of the Week” might not sound like the most highbrow concept, but in the hands of writer Alex Dent the recurring series becomes a meditation on technology and human progress (with some personal journaling thrown in for good measure). Dent is just one of the talented writers on The Fox Is Black, the Los Angeles-based blog helmed by editor Bobby Solomon. Formerly Kitsune Noir, the site offers up daily doses of art and design, presented in a clean layout with crisp copy. Solomon and company aren’t afraid to ask the tough (but obvious) questions, like, Is Banksy getting boring?
