Kiddies of the Canyon
It's time to Rock the Playground — like Sunset Junction, but with a shorter crowd. Bands will keep the playground hopping: Gwendolyn & the Good Time Gang, Egg, Scott Wheatly, Future Dancing, Risers, John Wayne Bro, PanAm. KCRW DJ/Wonderland fun dad Gary Calamar hosts and spins. Plus: food trucks, ice cream and slushie tents, face painting and balloon twisting, and a live raffle, all to raise $$ to keep Wonderland's playground open on the weekends — and believe me, you don't want free-range canyon kids menacing these mean streets. (Parking is difficult; be prepared to hike.)
