911 Is a Joke, and So Is Flavor Flav

Public Enemy paved the way for every serious artist with a message in the hip-hop community. But every village needs an idiot, and if it wasn't for Flavor Flav, heaven would be missing an angel named Ol' Dirty Bastard. In the past couple of years, the Renaissance man has rechristened himself a proprietor of a fried chicken chain and realit-TV Romeo on VH1's Flavor of Love, where classy ladies with names like Deelishis and Buckwild fought and spat to kiss his gold teeth. Now, in his just-published autobiography, Flavor Flav: The Icon The Memoir, the showman formerly known as William Jonathan Drayton Jr. chronicles his years of fighting the power, from his Long Island upbringing and forming the legendary rap group to drugs and sobriety and stints in and out of jail. The rapper signs and discusses his book with Grammy Foundation president Scott Goldman at the Grammy Museum.
