What's Funnier Than an Illuminating Comedic Truth (Besides Dick Jokes)?

Muslim terrorists, jihadist suicide bombers — not the kind of subject matter you'd expect to find particularly humorous. But then you likely haven't seen Four Lions, directed and co-written by Chris Morris, an explosively funny farce (and when we say "explosively," we mean that literally) that Timecalled "the blackest and ballsiest political comedy since Dr. Strangelove." Leave it to those crazy kids at the Actors' Gang to screen the film tonight as part of their pay-what-you-can Axis Mundi Series. Gang leader and actor extraordinaire Tim Robbins says, "Four Lions may be the most hilarious and dangerously subversive movie I have seen in the last 20 years. Chris Morris has created a movie that pushes the envelope beyond appropriate extremes and, in doing so, transforms our fear into an illuminating comedic truth." And we'll bet that if there was such a thing as a Terrorist Anti-Defamation Association, they'd be out there tonight, protesting with picket signs.
