Hey, Mom — You Want Brunch, Too?!

Well, of course, she drove you to therapy. But at least she never asked you to bring her an ax. And what better way to honor the lady whose loins you spewed from than by accompanying her to a screening of Mommie Dearest, starring Faye Dunaway as the infamous, wire-hanger-hatin' Joan Crawford, the mother of all crazy movie moms. Thanks to Dunaway's overarched brows, pursed lips and ham acting, not to mention countless drag queen tributes, the 1981 film — based on daughter Christina Crawford's 1978 memoir — has been a camp classic for exactly 30 years. The folks in San Francisco are even staging a prescreening drag show called Trannie Dearest, but you can still do it right down here. Just bring said wire hanger and Ajax and let the repressed memories rip. It's cheaper than analysis.
