Betty White Must Be Stopped!

By now you're sick of Betty White and her overexposed helmet hair, those dimples, and all the accolades and praise she keeps racking up for her 60-year-plus career in show business. Even animals are thanking White for being a friend. In her autobiography, White chronicled her lifelong love of animals. She's been on the board of directors of the Los Angeles Zoo since 1974. She even hosted a celeb pet show in the early 1970s called The Pet Set. The local nonprofit Actors and Others for Animals, founded in 1971 by actor Richard Basehart (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Knight Rider), celebrates its 40th anniversary by honoring White for her animal advocacy. Susan Lucci, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jamie Lee Curtis and Fred Willard have been invited to heap more praise on White, along with her Hot in Cleveland co-stars, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick. Silent and live auction items include lunch with White, a visit to the set of the TV Land sitcom and a signed copy of her Saturday Night Livescript.
