How many times have you steered your internet browser over to Yelp.com, searching for feedback or positive word of mouth on a local eatery, retail stop or other place of business, only to be stopped dead in your tracks by an especially impassioned (and if you're lucky, awesomely, grammatically incorrect) review that really brings the giggles. One has to imagine that these nuggets of consumer advocacy will do the same — amplified through the megaphone of comedy! — in Onestar at the UCB. Matt Mira, co-host of the Nerdist podcast, and Reno 911!'s Tom Lennon are your hosts for an evening of Yelp review "dramatic readings" that features a choice lineup including Patton Oswalt, Weird Al Yankovic, Paul F. Tompkins, Chris Hardwick, John Cho and many others. The Yelp page providing source material on Thursday's bill is the Koreatown location of 24 Hour Fitness; get ready for a non-stop treadmill of customer rage. (And maybe a little love?)
