MORE NEW YORK ASSHOLES ARRIVE IN L.A.

Would The Daily Show exist without The Onion? Probably yeah, but the online satirical newspaper is considered the dry-witted uncle of modern satire. Deadpan headlines like "Last Month Apparently Women's History Month," "Nothing Going Right For Area Surgeon Today" and my all-time favorite "Eight-Pound Man Removed From Woman's Vagina" represented a new era of media-ridiculing. The little paper began in 1988 at  the University of Wisconsin-Madison and went on to win a Peabody Award and is till stamping out fake reportage like last week's gem, "Gap Between Rich and Poor Named 8th Wonder of the World." A bunch the staff's white people come to town for The Onion Editors: Inside The Onion. Might we expect some attitude? Onion editor Joe Randazzo sends us this missive: "The presentation will offer a glimpse behind the scenes of America's Finest News Source, but more importantly a chance to experience laughter and other such human emotions typically void within the confines of Los Angeles. After hearing the illustrious story of The Onion, the audience will be able to ask questions˜not to suggest there's anything on this Earth a UCLA student doesn't already know."
