Who doesn't like cake? And stories? And Laraine Newman? The SNLfounding member reads her story entitled "I Hate Poetry" (apt for the venue) at Gorgeous Stories' 11th Anniversary Performance Party. The event celebrates 11 years of Terrie Silverman's Creative Rites workshops and will also features readings by actress Maureen Teefy, comic Fiona Goodwin and singer Marianne Lewis, among others. Somehow prizes will be awarded -- you could even win "your life story as a ballet, written and performed by Silverman," which could be quite terrifying and/or hilarious, depending on how awkward your life's been.
