The breadth of distributors means you'll try varietals from Italy, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Australia, Israel, New Zealand, several South American wineries and, yes, bien sur, France. A little cheese, some warm bread and just the perfect assortment of desserts pair nicely with the day. And should you sample more than a sip, you can always get a room in which to sleep it off. Yes, it's New Year's redux, but it's such a fragrant, full-bodied sacrifice, and you can jump right back on the wagon on Monday!
