Christmas might be over, but if you've still got out-of-town relatives camped out in your den, here's a great way to get them out of the house and have some other clowns do the entertaining. Pile them in the car and toodle on over to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts to see Cirque Shanghai Bai Xi. That way, you can relax and watch someone else jump through hoops, spin plates and do balancing acts. Circus puns aside, this extravaganza of world-class gymnasts, acrobats, trapeze artists, exotic dancers, martial artists and aerialists engage in death-defying maneuvers -- kind of like you trying to cook a ham and keep Fido from eating the Douglas fir and Gramps away from your nubile niece, all at the same time. The ancient Chinese art of bai xi means "100 amazing acts," so buy some popcorn, sit back and learn a couple of new tricks. After all, your guests probably are staying through New Year's.
